Oscar Abello joined Results for Development in September 2011, where as part of R4D’s communications team he is working to increase the influence of R4D's research and programs by supporting an integrated organization-wide communications strategy that includes events, publications, media relations, and online engagement. In his previous role, Oscar worked at the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), an organization dedicated to strengthening democracy around the globe through private enterprise and market-oriented reform, where he wrote and edited content for online and print distribution; bolstered the success of the CIPE Development Blog; led CIPE’s online broadcast program; and launched CIPE’s global social media presence. Oscar graduated in 2008 with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Peace and Justice Studies from Villanova University, and upon graduation also shared the inaugural Solidarity Award from Villanova's Center for Peace and Justice Education.
